CAR HIRE - TERMS & CONDITIONS
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE MAKING YOUR PURCHASE. By
making your purchase, you signify your acceptance of these terms. If you do not
agree to these terms & conditions, please do not make your purchase. Regency
Travel Cyprus reserves the right, at its discretion, to change, modify, add, or
remove portions of these terms at any time. Please check the terms periodically
for changes.
 In order to enjoy your holiday in Cyprus, please read the following
car hire terms thoroughly, our company can not be held responsible if customers
have not read and understood our terms & cancellation policy.
Insurance for
ordinary cars: (For our V.I.P cars please read special terms & conditions
here)
All cars are offered with "All Inclusive" insurance
coverage which includes:
-- Full own damage to the hired car.
-- Full third party property damage.
-- Personal accident insurance for passengers.
-- Third party bodily injuries.
-- Fire insurance
-- Theft insurance
Exceptions on "All Inclusive" Insurance:
Any of the damages below will be charged to the hirer:
-- Loss or damage to keys, damage to the upholstery of the car, extreme
dirtiness in the car, tire punctures and burst tires, fuel errors, damage to
child seats, radio cassettes, CD players etc.
--Damage caused by drunk driving or negligent driving will never be excluded from
the client's direct responsibilities.
--Any unnoticed accident damage or loss to the vehicle may be interpreted
as negligence. This may result in a full charge to the hirer.
Items and
Services included in the rates:
-- One Additional driver. (Second or more at €15.00 per rental per driver)
-- One child's seat. (Second or more at €15.00 per rental per unit)
-- Unlimited mileage.
-- 15% VAT and All local taxes.
-- Delivery and drop off at both Cyprus airports until 23.59 midnight. (From
00.01 until 07.59 a.m. there is extra charge of €35.00 (Thirty five Euros) per
rental)
-- 24-hour road service with car substitution if necessary.
Driver's age:
Minimum age required for car hire in Cyprus is 25 years of age or 21 but holding a driving license for
at least 3 years. No maximum age required.
North part of
Cyprus: Due to insurance policy, our cars are NOT allowed to be driven into
the north part of Cyprus.
Fuel: All
cars are supplied with full tank. Exact amount is charged on delivery, according
to the current rate. No refunds for unused fuel.
Deposits:
A 10% deposit of the total amount of the car rental is required for a booking to
be confirmed. The remainder balance can be paid upon car delivery. Deposit is NOT refundable.
Car Groups:
We book cars by group and not by particular make or
model. However every effort will be made to supply the car type requested.
Hotel delivery: For hotel deliveries we need the hotel's name and your resort/town
in Cyprus. If these details are unavailable at the
time of booking, you will have to inform us at least 2-3 days prior to the hire starting
date, either by phone or by email. If
this information is not provided in time, we
will not accept responsibility or compensation for such a failed car rental.
Airport delivery: For airport deliveries, it is essential that hirer has
given the correct arrival flight number and estimate arrival time in prior. If
you have forwarded to us a valid flight number and your flight is confirmed to
still be arriving on the given date, our airport representative will wait for
you, even if there is a few hours delay. However he/she wouldn't wait if after
landing, you do not show up in 60-75 minutes time. If you have a more than 75
minutes delay in the luggage hall, you are advised that the driver comes out
(while other members of your party are waiting for luggage) or if this is
impossible, you can use the emergency telephone number which will be pre-sent in
our confirmation email. In contrary case you will be considered as "No-
show", our representative will leave the airport and we will not accept responsibility or
compensation for such a failed rental.
Refunds: No refunds will be made for car rentals aborted earlier
or cancellations made after rental start date.
Minimum car hire:
Minimum car rental period is 4 consecutive days.
Book the right hire car: It is essential that you book the right car,
according to your individual needs (e.g. number of persons, luggage etc) Our establishment might not be able to change the
hired car neither will be held responsible if the pre-booked car can not
accommodate your family and luggage. In such case and if the pre-booked car is unaccepted
then we will try to replace it. If this is not possible (especially in peak
periods) then you will be allowed to cancel the booking by paying 4 days
hire plus delivery expenses. In the case that your luggage can't be
accommodate then you might need to hire a taxi on the spot, at your own expense. In such case our
representative will be of assistance.
Cancellation Policy
For cancellations made:
-- Up to 7 days prior, pay 10% of the total amount.
-- 6 - 1 days prior, pay 25% of the total amount.
-- 1 - 0 days or No show: Pay 100% of the total amount.
In the case of full pre-payment then the appropriate amount will be refunded
